Performance and Uses

　　Polyacrylamide is a linear polymer, and its products are mainly divided into two forms: dry powder and colloid.

　　According to its average molecular weight,it can be divided into three categories:low molecular weight(<1 million), medium molecular weight(2-4 million)and high molecular weight(>7 million). According to its structure, it can be divided into non-ionic,anionic and cationic types. Anionic types are mostly hydrolyzates of PAM(HPAM). The main chain of polyacrylamide carries a large number of amide groups, which are highly chemically active.It can be modified to produce many polyacrylamide derivatives. The products have been widely used in papermaking,mineral processing, oil production, metallurgy,building materials, sewage treatment and other industries. Polyacrylamide is widely used as a lubricant, suspending agent, clay stabilizer, oil displacement agent, water loss reducer and thickener in drilling, acidizing, fracturing, water plugging, cementing, secondary oil recovery and tertiary oil recovery. It is an extremely important oilfield chemical.

Characteristics

　　Flocculation. PAM can make suspended matter flocculate through electrical neutralization;

　　Adhesion. It can play an adhesive role through physical and chemical effects;

　　Thickener. It has thickening effect under neutral and acidic conditions.

Quality indicators

　　Cationic polyacrylamide complies with GB/T31246-2014 Technical conditions and test methods of cationic polyacrylamide for water treatment agents

　　Anionic and nonionic polyacrylamide complies with GB/T17514-2017 Water treatment agents anionic and nonionic polyacrylamide.

Instructions for use

　　The dosage of polyacrylamide is very small, generally 0.03-0.4mg/L. If the dosage is too small, the treatment effect is very poor, and if the dosage is too large, there will be side effects. In actual application, small and medium tests should be carried out first, and then on-machine experiments should be carried out.

Packaging,transportation and storage

　　Polyacrylamide products are double-packed, with a net weight of 25 kg or 50 kg per bag(barrel)or packaged according to customer requirements.

　　During transportation, tools with awnings should be used to prevent rain and exposure.

　　Polyacrylamide products should be stored in a cool, ventilated and dry warehouse with a storage period of two years.
